Kia ora and welcome back to NZBeats.com New Zealand is celebrating Māori Language Week. I thought I would get in on the action with seven Maori waiatas. Here’s the track list:

Hope you all enjoyed that as much as I did. Don’t be scared to speak a little Māori as well… remember it’s cool to kōrero.

This show of NZ Beats is in tribute to the late great Micheal Jackson. The boys over at Cheese on Toast put together a fantastic tribute album called Moonlight, Good Times & Boogie, a 12 track album featuring MJ covers. The album is a free download and I would highly suggest heading over to www.cheeseontoast.co.nz and downloading it for yourself. I have selected 7 songs from that album performed by kiwi musicians to share with you. Here’s the playlist:

Hope you all enjoyed these magnificent covers as much as I did. Don’t forget to grab the full 12 track album for free at Cheese On Toast.

Support New Zealand Music

All the music found in this podcast is performed by New Zealand Artists.
These guys are great musicians but they aren't rich. They need your support
to continue to make their music. I try my best to link to sites where you
can buy their music, so do the right thing and buy the song if you like it.

Play for an New Zealand indie/garage band and want to get your music out to an
international audience. Feel free to send me a track in mp3 format to nzbeats@gmail.com.
I guarantee I will play all indie NZ beats sent to me.

As long as it isn't complete crap.
